Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), for a year in the ISRO-sponsored project ISRO/NCG/2025780 titled "Synergistic Soil Moisture Assessment: Integrating NISAR and GNSS-R for Enhanced Spatio-Temporal Resolution" at IIT Kanpur. Minimum Academic Qualification:

M.Tech (Physics/Mathematics/Earth Science/Geoinformatics/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science) OR
Three years of relevant experience after B.E/B. Tech (Civil/Geoinformatics/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science)

Desirable:
|
The candidate should have research experience in Radar Remote Sensing and be familiar with the use of various geodetic instruments and software. Good mathematical skills and programming proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python) are necessary. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent writing and communication skills.

Nature of job:
|
The selected candidate will develop and implement programs for preprocessing, analysis, and management of Radar (SAR) and GNSS data to estimate soil moisture. The role involves handling large-scale datasets, performing data pre-processing, extracting relevant geophysical parameters, and integrating multi-source data (NISAR, GNSS-R, and GNSS-IR).

Rs. 37,000 + 20% HRA |
