 Senior Project Scientist

Applications are invited for a temporary and contractual post of Senior Project Scientist under the project entitled: “Field-deployable quantum-enhanced sensors on integrated hybrid platform” funded by the National Quantum Mission (NQM) at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification:

Ph.D.* + 1 year relevant experience

Or

Postgraduate + 4 years relevant experience

Desirable Qualifications and Expertise:

The candidate should have one or more of the following:

  • Ph.D. in Physics with at least 4 years of postdoctoral experience
  • Experience in atomic magnetometry, quantum sensing, atomic physics, spectroscopy
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, signal processing, and data acquisition systems
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python for instrumentation and automation

Salary Range:

Rs. 38,800–3,200–96,400/- per month (based on qualification and experience)

Term of Appointment:

The appointment is purely temporary and contractual, for three years, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
