Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of Project Engineer under the project entitled “National Centre of Excellence for Large Area Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur (Phase-II)” at National Centre for Flexible Electronics, IIT Kanpur.
For the Position of “Project Engineer”
Role: Embedded Systems Engineer
Minimum Qualification: M.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical
OR
B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with minimum 3 years’ experience
Desirable Experience:
- Strong programming and debugging skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Hands-on experience in Embedded Systems and IoT development.
- Knowledge of basic Android Development to interface using Bluetooth or OTG communication.
- Solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Experience in system design and firmware development on ARM Cortex, PIC, MSP430, AVR, and DSP-based platforms.
- Familiarity with RTOS development.
- Proficiency in communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, Bluetooth, and USB OTG.
- Hands-on experience with ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and other open-source hardware platforms.
- Working knowledge of wireless communication protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, Zigbee, etc.).
- Experience with Test and Measurement Equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
Nature of work:
- Develop embedded software and firmware using C, C++, and Python.
- Design and implement Android-based interfaces for embedded applications using Bluetooth and OTG.
- Develop and optimize IoT solutions integrating sensors, microcontrollers, and wireless communication.
- Work on real-time embedded firmware development and debugging.
- Implement communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, and OTG.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop efficient embedded solutions.
- Assist in the development of prototypes and demonstrations for research projects
Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- per month based on qualification
Duration of appointment: 1 Year Contract or till end of Project whichever is earlier
