Applications are invited for a temporary & contractual post of Project Engineer under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at SCDT, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: M.Tech Or B.Tech + 3 years relevant exp.

Desirable Qualification and Experience: At least five years’ experience in the followings area

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Material Science & Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Polymer Science and Technology/ Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Technology/ Printing
  • Work experience in the fabrication and characterization of gas sensors mainly through printed routes.
  • Work experience in printed gas sensors preconditioning and gas sensing for various applications, ink formulation, and sensing film fabrication using printing methods.
  • Handling and processing of flexible substrates for electronics applications.
  • Experience with characterization techniques such as profilometry, optical microscopy, sheet resistance measurements, and electrical measurements.
  • Analyze observations and experimental data, evaluate results, and implement process improvement.
  • Maintain complete records of experimental results, prepare technical reports and presentations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- (per month based on qualification)

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year or end of the project, whichever is earlier
