IIT KANPUR invites application for the post of Project post-Doc fellow in the project” from highly motivated individuals who can work independently-
Essential Qualification
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with emphasis on Organic Synthesis.
- An excellent track-record of publications/patents in synthetic chemistry/medicinal chemistry.
- 5 years post-Ph.D. professional experience in a research setting.
- The candidate should have a significant knowledge and experience in the design, synthesis, and bioactivity studies of medicinally relevant compounds.
- The candidate should have experience in utilizing CO2 in synthetic chemistry.
Desirable qualification
- Expertise and experience in characterization techniques (spectroscopies) such as NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry.
- Experience in guiding bachelors and master’s level students in research projects.
- Interested international candidates may also apply only if they are residing in India with currently valid VISA.
Duration of Appointment
- The appointment for the above posts initially will be for 6 months, which will be extended with mutual consent if the performance of the candidate is good.
- The post is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.
- Salary Range: 60,000-5000-85,000
The department reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for the short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience. Only short-listed candidates will accordingly be called for an interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
