Eco-friendly Insect Trap
- India produces around 90,000 metric tons of pesticides per year
- 60% of the country’s population dependent on agriculture
- India loses nearly 30% of its potential crop to insects, weeds and rodent attacks
- Lot of harmful and far-reaching consequences
- Pesticides may cause cancer and other harmful diseases
- Insect swatter can be a very innovative idea
This insect trap aims to help economically challenged sections of society. The product uses old mineral bottles ,LEDS etc to minimize the cost. In this project light attracts insects which are killed by external metallic mesh carrying electric charge.
