For Self Sponsored /Sponsored Participants
Self Sponsored /Sponsored Participants will be provided shared accommodation for the duration of the course.
Weather
The weather at Kanpur in July varies from 220C to 360C. The climate starts to get comfortable for sightseeing. Days are hot but the evenings get cooler. The night temperature may be lower.
How to reach
By Air connectivity:
Participants coming over to Kanpur by flight have to get down either at Kanpur airport or Lucknow airport.They can take a taxi from the airport taxi stand to IITK.
It takes around 3 hours to reach IITK from Lucknow airport and around 1 hour from Kanpur airport. Taxis at the Lucknow airport and Kanpur Airport charge around
Rs.1600 and Rs. 600 respectively.
By Rail and Road Connectivity:
IIT Kanpur is located at a distance of about 16 kilometres from the Kanpur Central Railway Station(CNB), in the vicinity of
Kalyanpur, Kanpur. Taxis and Three wheelers are available from the
Cantonment side (Platform No. 1 side) of the Kanpur Central Railway Station. The rates are around Rs.350
for taxi and Rs.160 for three wheeler auto.
Radio taxi service is available on call (PH:9838204035 ,8052411111).The rates from (CNB)Railway Station and Airport are around Rs.260 and Rs.340 respectively.
Bus service is also available from (CNB)Railway station to IIT-Kanpur.
