Abstract:

This Research has a clear approach to assess the status (geomorphic condition) of the river both spatially and temporarily. The thesis aims to focus on developing a comprehensive understanding of parts of the Ganga river in terms of different aspects. Geomorphic connectivity is a major part of the thesis which adresses the longitudinal and lateral connectivity of the river. This research has a specific objective for environmental flow assessment based on fluvial geomorphology. The thesis will highlight the human transformation on the active floodplain area of the Ganga River. |
