An automatic switch for parking lights A report

Introduction: 

It has been observed that most of the drivers of an automobile don't put on the parking lights of their vehicles at night. This mistake costs dearly in terms of accidents when an other vehicle rams into parked vehicle at night. Cyclists moving at night are the common victims of such accidents. Unaware of the parked vehicle on the road, they usually ram into it resulting in injuries and monetary loss.

Salient Features

The device is compact and can be fitted in any automobile.

When the intensity of the light falls below a certain pre set level ,the parking lights of the vehicle are put on.    When the light intensity rises above this level the parking lights are put off.

The level can be adjusted using potentiometer.

The cost of device is low and it is easy to install.

. The device is fully automatic.
