MOTIVATION & CENTRAL IDEA

It often happens that devices such as geyser, motor etc. are to be switched on and off at the proper time. Also, people forget to switch off a device after its use is over. So this design ensures that the devices are automatically switched on and off at a fixed time which can be set by the user, accompanied with an alarm. It can control 8 such devices simultaneously. This can be used to control switching of lights in house automatically in different rooms. Last application improves safety, as you can make fool of burglars .

NEED STATEMENT

To design a handy programmable switching device for common man to control the time of functioning of electrical appliances in accordance with their need

UTILITY

To automatically switch on & off geysers, electric. kettle, lights accompanied with an alarm.

At the time when one goes out on vacations one can automatically

         control lighting connections so as not to let any outsider know

In city, supply of water is restricted to few hours in the morning & evening. We can use the device to automatically switch on & off motor for that fixed duration.
