Intelligent Water-Level Controller

INTRODUCTION

Water is the essential part of the existence of life. Water should be adequate in terms of quality and quantity. Our major concern is to control the water wastage and at the same time reduce the power consumption. It is seen that water wastage in our houses and industries is due to overflow of water from the storage tanks. To control this problem we are designing an instrument which will detect the water level and indicate the pump automatically to start and stop.

What it does?

The water level controller senses the inputs from the

upper tank, lower tank and the motor. Depending on the level of water in the upper tank and the lower tank, the motor is turned ON when the level in the upper tank goes low. In case the lower tank level is low or if the motor is sensed as dry running, the output is turned OFF to prevent motor bum out. In addition, LEDs are provided to indicate the running ~f the motor and filling of the upper tank.
