Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Research Scholar Day 3 October 2015
Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is one of the fourteen academic departments at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. It is a multi-disciplinary department consisting of six disciplines: Economics, English Literature and Linguistics, Fine Arts, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology. With over 40 faculty and 70 research scholars, the Department continuously strives to enrich and enhance research output, thereby fostering excellence in various Humanities & Social Science disciplines. Research Scholar Day is an annual event of the Department. It aims to celebrate the scholarship of our research scholars by providing a platform to them to come together and share their scholarly work. Through presentations and discussions, views are exchanged that paves the way for intellectual engagement and development of research ideas. Active participation of the members from varied disciplines upholds the spirit of the day that contributes towards professional and personal development of the scholars.
