  • Asia Fellow Award (2008), Asian Scholarship Foundation, Thailand to work on "Institutional Reform and Rural Electricity Access: Lessons from East Asian Countries (with special emphasis on Thailand)”. Due to certain constraints, visit could not materialize.

  • Visiting Researcher Fellowship from Asian Development Bank Institute, Tokyo for 6 months from July 2005.

  • Ph.D. Fellowship awarded by United Nations University/Institute for Advanced Studies (UNU/IAS), Tokyo for a period up to 8 months from 19th Nov. 1998.

  • Research scholarship from Duestcher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD, German Academic Exchange Council), Germany to carry out academic research with Prof. Klaus Conrad of Dept. of Economics, Mannheim University, Germany for a period of six months from 1st June 1997 to 30th Nov. 1997.

  • Fellowship during Ph.D. research work at IGIDR, Mumbai (1992-1997).

  • GATE Scholarship during M.E., (1991-1992).

  • Scholarship during B.Tech., (1987-91).

  • Scholarship during Intermediate, (1985-87).

  • State Scholarship during High School, (1983-85).

Award
  • “Amity Academic Excellence Award” for contribution in the field of Industrial and Management Engineering, 2013.
  • "PV Based Replicable Business Models for Informal Markets for Electricity" received the Best Business Model Award at the Asia Clean Energy Forum 2010 organised at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila in June 2010.
