Being a part of MA community has brought me a wealth of opportunity to learn, share, collaborate and be a better leader. It gave me perks like attending and presenting in conferences and workshops at discounted prices and I simply cannot believe how much you get for the cost.

Being a part of MA@IITK was exciting, I was actively involved in organizing events and sharing research expertise to undergraduates and students from other universities. Being a member allowed me to raise social awareness of Material science and understand Materials Science from a different perspective.

Being a part of MA@IITK was wonderful. I learned how to organise events and explain about research instruments to undergraduate students during their lab visit. There were various group activities like seminar series, micrography contest, industrial trips, through which we learned a lot about material science. In the seminar series, I had presented on the topics “phase transformation in chocolate” and “sinking of titanic”. I learned how to relate material science phenomenon to day-to-day life and present it to undergraduate students. My favourite event was the “Two minute thesis” competition, which made us think about the most important take away point from the work we are doing as a researcher. I also received 100$ in the event “Member recruit member drive” when I joined MA@IITK.
