National Academic Depository (NAD)

National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative under “Digital India” theme aimed at achieving digital archiving and verification of the academic records.

NAD is a 24X7 online store house of all academic awards viz. certificates, diplomas, degrees, mark sheets etc. duly digitised and lodged by academic institutions/boards/eligibility assessment bodies. NAD not only ensures easy access to and retrieval of an academic award but also validates and guarantees its authenticity and safe storage. For details visit: https://nad.gov.in/index.html

IIT Kanpur is participating in the NAD System and has uploaded the documents pertaining to all our graduated students from 2017 batch onwards.

NAD Cell facilitates digital issuance, storage, access, and verification of academic awards issued by IIT Kanpur.

Points to note:

1. All the students are required to obtain a NAD ID by registering at NAD.
2. Registration can be done through https://cvl.nad.co.in/NAD/studentStack.action
3. Students are required to submit their NAD ID to NAD Cell, IIT Kanpur for uploading their certificates.
4. Graduating students are required to submit their NAD ID to the NAD Cell, IIT Kanpur in order to obtain ‘No Dues Clearance’ from the Institute.
