Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the project titled "Bubble and conical forms of vortex breakdown in turbulent swirling jets" funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow

Salary: Rs. 31,000 + 16% HRA per month.

Minimum Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. (preferably Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering) with GATE score or M.E./M.Tech./M.S.R./M.Sc. in any Engineering Department where Fluid Mechanics or Computational Sciences is a focus.

Essential Skillset: Computational experience, a basic understanding of fluid flows

Desired Skillset: Candidates with a background in computational fluid dynamics and high-performance computing will be preferred.

Nature of Work: Numerical code development for simulations of swirling flows using XCompact3D, a scalable flow solver for high-fidelity simulations using Param Sanganak (NSM supercomputing facility) at IIT Kanpur.
