Applications from Indian nationals are invited for the position of Health Economist in the project entitled, "Health Technology Assessment in India”. The project is funded by HTAin, Department of Health Research, Government of India.
Position: Health Economist
Number of positions: One
Qualifications: Master’s degree in economics/econometrics/health economics/ social statistics, or an allied statistics discipline, with minimum 2 years of experience
Relevant skills & experience
- Experience of working in the field of health economics, specifically in health technology assessment
- Broad appreciation of global health economic and policy research
- Experience in the collection, handling and analysing health data
- A working knowledge of Indian health care systems
Salary: Based on qualification and experience
Duration of Appointment
- The post is purely temporary and is on contractual basis.
- The appointment for the post is initially for one year. Renewal of the appointment will be subjected to the performance of the candidate, and the project extension from the funder.
The department reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience. Based on qualifications and experience, candidate may be considered for a higher position as well. The decision of the selection committee will be final. Short listed candidates will be informed with an email about the date of interview.
