Applications are invited for the position of Project Assistant for a project at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK).

1. Project Assistant: (01)

• Graduate Degree (B.Sc.)

Desirable:

• At least 3 years of research experience in an academic institutions/ research & development organization.
• Familiarity with procedures for procuring material for lab, proper handling of autoclave, all types of media preparations, specialized washing techniques for insect culture glassware, proper handling of ultra centrifuge, maintenance of lab equipments and chemicals.
• Experience in maintaining cell culture facility/CO2 incubators and handling of CO2 cylinder as well as liquid nitrogen cylinders is desirable
• Should be well conversant with spoken & written English.

Salary Range: Rs. 9000 - 900 - 18000 p.m.

Duration: One Year

The position is purely temporary & contractual for three year & or till the end of project whichever is earlier extension will be considered purely on performance basis.
