Applications are invited for the position of Project scientist for a project at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK).

1. Project Scientist: (01)

M. Sc. + 3 year experience in Biotechnology or Ph.D. in allied Life Sciences.

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having
Minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam.

At least 4 years of research experience in mammalian cell culture, bacterial culture, maintenance of mouse colonies, molecular biology applications after Masters in an academic institution/ research & development organization may apply.

The candidate should have hands-on experience of techniques like DNA/RNA Isolation, SNP Genotyping, microRNA based assays and immunohistochemistry on clinical samples. Should be well conversant with spoken & written English.

Salary range: Rs. 15, 000-1500-30,000.

This position is purely temporary for one year and based on the performance extendable further until duration of project or 5 years whichever is earlier.
