Applications are invited for purely temporary & contractual post of Assistant Project Manager under the sponsored projects undertaken at the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: Diploma (Civil Engineering) + 5 Years Experience in Building Construction and supervision.

Desirable Qualification:

• Relevant experience in quality control and maintaining records of different parameters as per CPWD norms.
• Experience/exposure to standard construction practices and knowledge of relevant Indian Test Standards and implementation of new technologies etc. will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of computer tools such as MS office and communication using email, etc.

Nature of work:

• Preparation of quality assurance plan (QAP) and reports.
• Evaluation, Validation and Certification of material tests, keeping day-to-day records and checking adherence to prescribed specifications
• Inspection of building construction sites to check compliance of relevant code provisions

Salary: Consolidated salary in the range of INR 13200 – 1100 – 33000/- per month based on qualification and experience.

Duration of appointment: 1 year or till end of the project whichever is earlier. Contract may be extended based on candidate’s performance.
