Job Title: Sampling and analysis of groundwater and soils affected with heavy metal pollution
Project Description: This would primarily be a lab- and field-scale sampling work to estimate the extent of heavy metal pollution such as chromium, iron, arsenic from contaminated waters and soils. The work would involve extensive testing of samples using standard and advanced wet chemical methods to identify water quality parameters and chemical properties of soils.
A part of the job will also involve extensive operation and maintenance of high-end analytical instruments like Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) and Particle Size and Zeta Potential Analyzer. Besides these, sample preparation for analysis of water samples on Ion Chromatograph (IC), Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyser, as well as for analysis of solid samples on Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray Diffraction, X-ray Fluorescence, X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy would be required.
Junior Research Fellow: 1 (One)
