Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the project titled "An experimental and numerical assessment of time-dependent behaviour of Jute geotextile encased stone columns supported embankment over layered soft soils " funded by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (One)

Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs. 37000/- per month.

Minimum Qualification: BE/B.Tech. (Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Material science and Engineering) with GATE score, Msc (chemistry / soil science), or M. Tech. in Civil / Chemical Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Material science and Engineering)

Candidate with background in Geotechnical Engineering will be preferred.

Nature of Work: Experimental investigation of strength and deformation behavior of soft soils reinforced with stone columns. Efficacy of encased stone column resting on heterogenous soil deposit using small-scale model tests. Performance assessment of soft clay response under embankment loading considering experimental and numerical approaches.
