Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the project titled "Promoting Residential Energy Efficiency through an Appliance-level Electricity Monitoring System," funded by the Kotak School of Sustainability.
Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (J.R.F.)
Salary: Rs. 37,000 per month consolidated.
Minimum Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. (preferably Mechanical/Civil/Energy) with a GATE score or M.E./M.Tech./M.S.R./M.Sc. in any Engineering Department where statistical data analysis is the focus. B.E./B.Tech. Applicants without a GATE score may also be considered.
Desired Skillset: Candidates with backgrounds in statistical data analysis, building energy efficiency, and air-conditioning systems will be preferred.
Project Description and Nature of Work: The project aims to reduce electricity wastage in homes by monitoring appliance-level electricity consumption through smart meters and suggesting behavioral and technological interventions to the residents. The J.R.F. will be responsible for installing smart meters, conducting statistical analysis to identify energy savings opportunities, and designing behavioral and technological interventions to promote residential energy efficiency.
