Applications are invited for a temporary position in an Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), Lucknow sponsored project entitled “Comprehensive Air Pollution Source Apportionment/ Emission Inventory and Carrying Capacity for Jhansi, Raebareli, Anpara, Firozabad, Khurja, and Gajraula cities in the State of Uttar Pradesh”.
The details of the project and qualification requirements are given below:
Name of Post and Number: Senior Project Associate (02)
Salary Range: 21600-1800-54000/- per month (Consolidated)
Duration: 6 months (Extendable depending upon satisfactory performance or availability of funds), The post is purely temporary or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier.
Essential Qualification:
- B.Tech degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with relevant experience of one year
- Proficiency in GIS based software/Google earth/ArcGIS and dispersion modelling software.
- Experience in air quality monitoring.
Desirable Qualification and Exp:
M.Tech/Master Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering. Candidates with working experience in emission inventory, carrying capacity components such as air quality modelling AERMOD, water resource, land resource, water consumption and wastewater generation, environmental indicators, related data analysis, solid waste management cycle and hydrogeological modelling are preferable.
Experience in water quality parameter sampling and analysis of surface and ground water, wastewater, lakes, and other water bodies such as pH, DO, BOD, COD, MPN etc.
Nature of Work
The candidate would be responsible for coordinating with team and sometime city visit for environmental components sampling, quality measurements and take part in analysis of data sets evolved during such monitoring and report preparation.
