Position: Project Engineer

No. of positions: 2 (Two)

Applications are invited for the post of "Project Engineer" in the Project numbered NAHI/CS/2020230 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum qualification: MTech OR B.Tech with MBA OR B. Tech in Computer Science with atleast 3 years relevant exp.

Consolidated Salary range: INR 26400-2200-66000 per month.

Working hours: 8:30 am to 6 pm (Monday to Saturday)

Desired qualification:

• At least 60% marks in academics
• Ability to work on deadline driven projects
• Very good writing, and speaking ability in English
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the field of Cyber Security
• Good understanding of microservices (Docker) and its application in Deception Technology
• Experience in writing research papers demonstrated by past work
• Extensive experience with code versioning tools such as Git, active git profile is a must
• Extensive hands on experience in working with Deception Technology and SIEM Tools
• Hands on experience in Virtualization and Networking

Job Description: The candidate's major tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Research in Deception Technology
• Coding in different programming languages (as required)
• Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems
• Integrate/Modify existing open-source software according to the requirements
• Prepare presentations and reports.
• Presentation of work at meetings and conferences.
• Authoring research papers

Duration: Appointment will be made initially for one year and can be extended up to five years or till the end of the project whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. Performance reviews will be held weekly. The appointment can be terminated at any time if found unsatisfactory.
