Position: Project Technical Supervisor

Applications are invited for the post of "Project Technician" in the Project numbered 2016466 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum qualification: B.Sc. + 8 years of relevant experience OR 3 years Engg. Diploma + 8 years of relevant experience

Consolidated Salary range: INR 19200-1600-48000 per month.
Working hours: 8:30 am to 6 pm (Monday to Saturday).

Desired qualification : 8 years of relevant experience

• Hand’s on experience with Electrical Panels [PMCC panels] + PLC / RTU & SCADA system
• Basic knowledge of computer & Linux operating system
• Excellent spoken and written English

Work: The candidate’s tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Installation & commissioning of Smart grid components [Protection relays in PMCC panels].
• Secure integration of protection relays with RTU based SCADA system.
• Operation & Maintenance of Smart grid system.
• Preparation of inventory budgets & reports.

Working hours: 8:30 am to 6 pm (Monday to Saturday).

Duration: Appointment will be made initially for one year and can be extended up to five years or till the end of the project whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. Performance reviews will be held weekly. The appointment can be terminated at any time if found unsatisfactory.
