Position : Senior Project Associate

No. of positions: 2(TWO))
Applications are invited for the post of "Project Associate" in the Project numbered NSCS/CS/2017518 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum qualification:

  • B. Tech in Computer Science or related discipline and minimum one year post-B.Tech relevant work experience

Desired qualification:

  • Good knowledge in Drupal 8.0 CMS, PHP, Ruby, JSP, HTML
  • Experienced with some projects in building multi-tier software application with Database Backend
  • Experienced in web technologies
  • Hands on experience in Developing software in a Team
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Software Design and Programming
  • Deep knowledge of Cyber Security of Web Based Systems and Data bases
  • Willingness to learn and use new programming languages and systems
  • Very good command over English - both spoken, and written

Consolidated Salary range: INR 21600 -- 1800 -- 54000.

Work: The candidate's tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Work under the guidance of a software architect in developing a secure web-based system
  • Identify appropriate open source technologies in designing the system
  • Carry out penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and SSL/TLS based security
  • Create Design documents, test plans, and deployment plans
  • Prepare and present talks at meetings and conferences

Working hours: 8:30 am to 6 pm (Monday to Saturday).

Duration: Appointment will be made initially for one year and can be extended up to five years or till the end of the project whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. Performance reviews will be held weekly. The appointment can be terminated at any time if found unsatisfactory.
