Description:
This DST sponsored project involves design of novel statistical algorithms for analysis of relational data, such as social/biological/financial networks, and implementing and testing them on real-world datasets. A strong prior background in Probabilistic Machine Learning and Bayesian modeling would be essential. The candidate is expected to have strong background in probability and statistics, should be highly fluent with programming (MATLAB/Python), and should have prior experience with designing and implementing machine learning algorithms. Familiarity with software frameworks such as Tensorflow, Theano, etc., and probabilistic programming frameworks such as Edward, PyMC3, Stan, etc. would be highly desirable.
The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis and it is for one year.
