Position: Senior Project Engineer

Applications are invited for the post of “Senior Project Engineer” in the Project numbered DST /CS /2016256 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum qualification: 

• PhD in Computer Science/Electronics or related disciplines or M. Tech with 3 years of industrial/research experience

Desired qualification: 

• At least 60% marks in academics
• Publications in Hardware VLSI Design and CAD tools in IEEE/ACM Journals
• Hands on experience in designing co-processors on FPGA, especially for cryptographic functions
• Hands on experience CAD tools for Chip Design
• Extensive Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL
• Knowledge of Secure Hashing, AES, DES, and other cryptographic implementations
• Fluency in English language to make presentations and report writing

Consolidated Salary range: INR 27000 - 2700 - 54000.

Work:  The candidate’s tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Development of Hardware Co-processors for Cryptographic functions
• Development of Plugin Modules for Network Interface cards with Cryptographic functions
• Write Publishable Journal and Conference Papers based on the Research Work done
• Prepare presentations and reports.
• Presentation of work at meetings and conferences

Working hours: 8:30 am to 6 pm (Monday to Saturday).

Duration: Appointment will be made initially for one year and can be extended up to five years or till the end of the project whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. Performance reviews will be held weekly. The appointment can be terminated at any time if found unsatisfactory.
