Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Associate to work on the following project accepted for funding by the KSS-IIT Kanpur, DoRA, under the supervision of Somesh K. Mathur (Department of Economic Sciences, IIT Kanpur,), Praveen Kulshreshtha (Department of Economic Sciences, IIT Kanpur), Prabir De (RIS, New Delhi) and Archana Srivastava (Department of Economics and Finance, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus).

Title of the project: “India and the ASEAN: Partial and General Equilibrium Analysis and its Economy Wide Impact Including Carbon Emissions using Structural Gravity and Applied General Equilibrium Models”

Duration: 24 Months

Fellowship amount: Rs. 40,000 per month (Consolidated)

Eligibility requirements:

• Masters in economics discipline from a reputed institution with necessarily knowledge of econometrics and R, STATA and Python Codes and should have a Laptop of his/her own.
• Preferably knowledge of applied general equilibrium models.

Desirable:

• Candidates with prior experience in secondary research, primary research, data cleaning and data analysis
• Good communication and writing skills
• Proficiency in English will be an added advantage

3. If performance of the PA is found unsatisfactory during the service, the position can be terminated with 15 days advance notice.
4. The PA may resign through 15 days advance notice at any point of their contract.
