Position: Project Scientist, Department of Earth Sciences, IIT Kanpur.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with experience in one or both of the following fields: 1) Rock magnetism; 2) structural geology. The title of the project is, Determining the origin of the Simlipal Volcanics: meteoritic impact vs effusive volcanism.

Essential qualifications:

1. PhD in earth science.
2. At least 2 first author paper in SCI journal.

Term of Appointment: Until the end of project in February 2026.

Salary:

Salary range: 26400-2200-66000
