Position Details: The candidate must have a fresh PhD degree in Earth sciences (preferably Structural Geology, Rock Mechanics or Solid Earth Geophysics) / Material Sciences / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering. The general research specialization of the candidate should be mechanics of materials. The research experience should be evident from the peer-reviewed publications of the candidate. Skills like, a high proficiency in written and spoken English, MATLAB are advantageous.

Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate would develop numerical/experimental models related to earthquake mechanics.
