Position: Project Post-Doctoral Fellow, Gangwal School of Medical Science and Technology, IIT Kanpur.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with strong interest and/or experience in medical device development to work towards the development of percutaneous circulatory support devices and allied systems.

Essential qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Research and/or product design and development experience with focus on manufacturing engineering, micromachining, fabrication of biomedical and microfluidic devices, and the design and fabrication of guidewires and/or catheters for medical applications.
3. A minimum experience of six months in the design and development of percutaneous circulatory support devices.
4. Experience in conceptualization, design, and conduct of experiments, and data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
5. Proficient in the use of analysis tools/softwares such as COMSOL, Ansys, and Solidworks

Desirable qualifications:

1. Experience in medical device development and knowledge of biomedical product lifecycle.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a dynamic group.

Term of Appointment:  1 year (extendable based on performance)

Salary Range:

INR 60000-5000-85000 pm (consolidated). A higher starting salary may be considered for exceptionally qualified/experienced candidates as per IITK Rules.
