Role: ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Salary Range: INR 16,000 – 1,300 – 38,000

Location: IIT-Kanpur Campus

 

Role Description

This is an administrative role at the Just Transition Research Centre, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kanpur. The role includes providing essential support in managing the financial records and accounts of the Centre, including financial documentation and handling day-to-day accounting tasks. The role also requires collaboration with other verticals to advance the goals of the Centre.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records of the Centre’s finances.
  • Assisting in auditing accounts.
  • Coordinating with other departments to track project-related expenses.
  • Managing administrative matters including legal, recruitment, contracts, and intellectual property rights, MOUs relevant to the Centre’s research agenda.
  • Inventory management.
  • Other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.

Selection Criteria

Education

  • MA or Equivalent Degree.

Experience

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in documentation and filing in a similar environment preferably at central governmental educational institutions like IITs.

Skills and Competencies

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in inventory management.
  • Strong proficiency to communicate effectively in English and Hindi, both spoken and written.
