Role: DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER

Salary Range: INR 23,000 – 2,000 – 59,000

Location: IIT-Kanpur Campus

 

Role Description

This is one of the management and administrative role at the Just Transition Research Centre, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kanpur. The role includes providing essential administrative support to achieving the goals of the Centre. It also includes aspects of HR and accounting services. The role also requires collaboration with other verticals to advance the goals of the Centre.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the administrative records of the centre.
  • Organizing and managing events.
  • Managing administrative matters including legal, recruitment, contracts, and intellectual property rights, MOUs relevant to the Centre’s research agenda.
  • Other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.

Selection Criteria

Education

  • Master’s or Equivalent Degree (M.Lib) + 5 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree (B.Lib) + 8 years of relevant experience at appropriate level.

Experience

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar environment preferably at central governmental educational institutions like IITs.

Skills and Competencies

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with designing and editing software like Canva, Adobe Pro.
  • Strong proficiency to communicate effectively in English and Hindi, both spoken and written.
