Applications are invited for the position of Project Post-Doctoral Fellow under the project "Centre for Energy Regulation" at the Centre for Energy Regulation (CER), IIT Kanpur. The applicant should be self-motivated and is expected to contribute towards various activities at the Centre/Dept. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English and an ability to work independently are essential. Research potential of the applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The appointment would be initially given for one year, on an extension basis up to a maximum duration of two years.

Centre for Energy Regulation (CER)

The Centre for Energy Regulation (CER) at IIT Kanpur aims to enhance regulatory research, knowledge building and networking in the Indian power sector. The CER has been engaged in research, capacity building, and policy advocacy and shares its opinion based on in-house analysis. Minimum Qualification:

Ph.D. in an area directly relevant to Power System / Power Markets / Power Sector Regulation / Public Policy, preferably Regulation and Policy research in the Indian power sector, from a reputed university / institute, and an excellent track record and publications in the relevant areas

Note: The candidate, if selected should have been awarded Ph.D. before joining.

Salary: Rs. 60000-5000-85000 PM Consolidated

HRA can be offered as per DORD norms. This is applicable only if the concerned project staff stays outside the campus.

Others: Subject to availability of appropriate funds, project investigator may approve reimbursement up to Rs. 1 lakh per annum towards travel especially for presenting work at national/international conferences undertaken at CER and contingency expenses to the Project Post Doctoral Fellow.
