Applications are invited for one position of 'Project Scientist', initially for a period of one year (extendable depending on the performance) in the COE flagship project entitled "Design and Development of Autonomous Stairs/Escalator Climbing & Self-navigating Smart Wheelchair." at COE: Telemedicine and Robotics, IIT Kanpur.

Name of the Post: Project Scientist (One)

Salary: (INR31600-2600-78400) (Consolidated)

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant domain (align with Desirable Skillset) or ME/M Tech (suitable discipline) + 3 years of relevant experience.

Desirable Skillset:

1. Extensive knowledge on Navigation and Controller Design for Autonomous Ground Vehicles/Wheelchair
2. Experience in ROS1 (or ROS2) and programming language C, C++, Python.
3. Experience in microcontroller programming Arduino, Raspberry Pi.
4. Experience in AI/ML, Deep Learning Framework for autonomous navigation.
5. Strong background in Control Systems Engineering/Robotics and Automation
