Applications are invited for one post of JRF (Junior Research Fellow) in a Swarnajayanti Project (sponsored by Dept. of Science and Technology) entitled, "Hip Joint Replacement Systems" in the Department of Materials Sciences & Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: Post graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification, OR Graduate degree in Professional Course, with NET/GATE, OR post-graduate in Professional courses.

Work Experience:

The applicant should have a strong background and sound knowledge on hands-on cell/bacteria culture facility. The person is also expected to be familiar with basic material processing and characterization tools. Person must be acquainted with sample sectioning, mounting and polishing, and gold-coating. Working knowledge of computer-based office applications (MS Office, power-point, excel/origin, etc.) is also necessary.

Salary: Rs. 28,000/- per month

The post is purely temporary, and is for a duration of one year.
