Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow under the project entitled “Development of High-Energy-Density Cathode for All-Solid-State Na-ion Battery.”
Minimum Qualifications for JRF: Master’s Degree according to 'A' or ‘B’ given below.
- A) For those with M.Tech qualification
Essential Qualifications: M.Tech. in Ceramic/Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum percentage marks: 70% in M.Tech & 60% in B.Tech.
- Should have taken Material Science/Thermodynamics courses at B.Tech level.
- B) For those with B.Sc. & M.Sc. qualification
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc.in Physics/Materials Science/Chemistry
- Should have taken Mathematics as a course subject at B.Sc.level
- Sc. in Physics/Materials Science/Chemistrywith 60%
- A minimum of 65% in M.Sc. degree
- NET-JRF qualified or 95 percentile or higher in GATE.
Job Description:
- Synthesis of ceramic-based solid-state electrolyte
- Impedance spectroscopy
- Fabrication and testing of batteries.
- Cyclic Voltammetry of solid-state batteries
- Charge-discharge characteristics study of batteries at various C-rates.
Desirable Experience:
- It is desirable that the candidate possessesa good understanding of ceramics and hands-on research experience inprocessing and sintering of ceramics, XRD, SEM/TEM characterization, and electrical testing of ceramic materials.
- Candidate is expected to have some experience of handling the glove box.
- The candidateswith good written and oral communication skills in English are preferred.
Salary range: INR 31,000 per month. (Consolidated)
Duration of Appointment:The position is purely temporary, initially for one year, and it can be extended further based on performance till the duration of the project.
