Applications are invited for the post of Project Manager (one) in a DRDO Industry-Academia Centre of Excellence at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: Post graduate degree + 8 years of relevant experience Or
Graduate with 15 years of relevant experience at appropriate level. Or
(CA/ICWA/CS) + 2 years of relevant experience at supervisory level in a Govt. organization or in educational institute or in organization of repute

Work Experience:
Project Manager is needed for communication (emails/ written letters) to PIs, DRDO, Other Academic Institutions, Industries, and assist with delivery of presentations at various places as per need. Applicant should be able to handle paper filing, accounting, and procedures for ordering/ purchase and should be versed in adjusting to running around jobs, fixing items, following up with purchase, repair, etc. He/ she is also expected to maintain proper documentation, file management, accounts of the Centre and record-keeping/uploading etc. Project manager applicants must be well versed with the standard office equipment. Creative poster making and prior experience of working in IIT Kanpur would be desirable. Should have experience of managing office, laboratory, and big projects. Should be aware of the rules and procedures, GFR-17, purchase guideline and policies, and purchase process in e-Government marketplace and in government institutes. Should be versed in keeping checks on timelines, smooth execution of projects, arranging meetings, and chasing the involved parties for successful conclusion and completion of projects. Person should be aware of compliance requirements/documents, paper-filing, report submissions and maintaining equipment records. The work will also include taking care of all logistic arrangements for arranging meetings, seminars, workshops, coordinating visits. The responsibility includes liaison for catering, transportation, lodging & boarding, venue preparation, audio-visual set-up etc. The applicant is expected to have a pleasant personality and possess working knowledge of English and Hindi. An experience with any hospitality service would be desirable. The applicant must also be acquainted with working knowledge of computer-based office applications (MS Office – power-point, excel, word, poster etc.). Design of slides, browser may also be needed. Working oral communication skill is expected for coordinating with various stake-holders and making presentations.
Desirable: Relevant experience in government organization or academic institute with a similar experience
Salary Range: Rs. 29000 - 2400 - 72200.
