Applications are invited for the post of Project Post Doctoral Fellow (one) in a CSR Project on Development of Hemo-Compatible Surfaces for Cardiac Devices at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Position: Project Post-Doctoral Fellow (ONE)
Minimum Qualification: Ph.D* from a reputed university /institute and an excellent track record and publications /patents in a research area relevant to the sponsored project.

Work Experience:
Should have working experience in handling material-processing/characterization related equipment in laboratory/ research environment. Must have operated various equipment, such as furnace, compression/cutting machines, SEM, XRD, etc. and should be well versed with sample preparation, polishing, etc. Expertise in handling cell/bacteria culture, assays, surface engineering and material characterization is required.
Should have working knowledge of maintenance and repair of the lab equipment. Candidate should be aware of Lab safety norms and maintaining equipment usage records.
Desirable: Synergistic exposure to hands-on cell/bacterial culture lab and high-end equipment handling in materials science domain (SEM, TEM, etc.) will be preferred. Work-experience with blood cells and cardiac devices will be preferred.
Salary Range: Rs. 60,000 – 5,000 – 85,000.
The post is purely temporary and is for a duration of one year.
