Applications are invited for two positions of Senior Project Associate, initially for a period of one year (extendable depending on the performance) in the DST sponsored project DST/CE/2019123 entitled "National Centre for Geodesy" at IIT Kanpur. Description about this position is given below:

| Minimum Academic Qualification: |
B.tech (Civil / Computer Science / Electricals / Electronics / Mining / IT / Geoinformatics) + one-year relevant experience
OR
MSc (Mathematics / Physics / Earth Science) + one-year relevant experience

| Desirable: |
Candidate MUST have prior research experience in broad area of Geodetic science, related instruments and software, good mathematical skills, programming proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, C/C++, Python, FORTRAN), and knowledge of geospatial and geodetic packages. In addition, the candidate MUST possess excellent writing and communication skills. |
| Nature of job: |
It will involve extensive field working using GNSS receiver, digital level, total station, terrestrial laser scanner, Gravimeter, etc. for ground based geodetic survey in several regions in India. Further, the candidate must hold responsibility for processing field data, preparing projects reports, preparing course contents for short term courses/workshops/conferences. |

Rs. 21600-1800-54000 + HRA as per Institute norms |
