Applications are invited for the post of Project Scientist, NWTF IIT Kanpur. The Post is temporary and on contractual basis for a period of one year. The period may be extended based on performance and requirement.

Salary range: Salary: INR 26400-2200-66000 per month (consolidated)

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D in Engineering Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering.

Desirable Qualification:-

• Familiar with wind tunnel model design, instrumentation & testing.
• Familiar with basic experimental techniques for wind tunnel testing
• Familiarity with using OpenFOAM, Ansys, MATLAB, Tecplot, C++.

• Experience in design softwares such as Linux, Windows, SolidWorks, LaTeX, ImageJ.
• The candidate should have good knowledge of fluid mechanics/Aerodynamic/Structural mechanics.

• Knowledge of High Speed Imaging, Image Analysis, Particle Image Velocimetry, Particle Tracking Velocimetry, Laser Instrumentation etc.

• Should have a good track record of publications.
