Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), to work in a DST sponsored project “Helicity Effects in MHD, Rotating and Convective Turbulence” at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur. The position is temporary and on contractual basis. The appointment will be made for one year (extendable based on performance).
The period of appointment may be extended based on requirement.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (01 post)
Duration: 1 Year
Salary: Rs. 25000
Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET/GATE qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET/GATE qualification.
Desired Skills: Preference will be given to candidates having strong background in C, C++, Python and Parallel programming. The candidate should have good knowledge of fluid dynamics, spectral method, parallel programming. Knowledge of visualization softwares like Visit, Paraview, Tecplot etc. is recommended.
