Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant at the "Low temperature Plasma laboratory" in the Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur.

Designation: Project Assistant

Number of positions : one

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree

Note: This post is purely temporary and contractual basis, initially for one year and can be extended further based upon performance until the duration of the project.

Job roles, Preferable experience and Responsibilities:

Should be hard working and have relevant experience of atleast 3 – 5 years in office management preferably in an academic setting; should assist in the smooth functioning of the project; manage the project expenditures across different budget heads; liason with the funding agency as and when required, the relevant insitute offices and the PI, for the smooth execution of the project; have prior knowledge and experience in GEM/purchase procedures both import and local purchase, and be conversant with the technical and legal aspects; be familiar with patent filing and its policies and procedures; have excellent oral and written communication skills, including leadership qualities to coordinate for meeting deadlines of project related presentations, annual project report submission and timely completion of tasks related to the project; maintaining the stock registers, vendor management and bill processing for purchases; should assist in annual audit and stock verfication; knowledge of office administration and knowledge of computer and MS Office Suite; be able to carry out official correspondence related to the project

Consolidated Salary range: Rs 20,000  +  18% HRA
