“Chaotic Fibre Laser for Random Event Generation”
Applications are invited for One post of Research Associate under the project entitled “Chaotic Fibre Laser for Random Event Generation” at the Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur.
Essential qualification: Ph.D in Physics OR M.Tech with 3 years of research experience in Fibre lasers after M.Tech.
Desirable: Demonstrated aptitude for Optics/Laser-related research work (both in experimental and modeling work).
Age limit (maximum): 35 years
Age relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD candidates.
Salary: Rs. 36,000 per month + HRA (as per Institute norms)
Duration: Till 31st March 2018 for the time being, and extendable by one or two more years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance.
If a suitable candidate is not found for Research Associate, appointment may be considered at the level of JRF (@ Rs. 12,000 per month + HRA) or SRF (@ Rs. 14,000 per month + HRA). JRF post requires M.Sc (Physics) or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test (maximum age: 28 years).SRF post requires M.Sc (Physics) or equivalent degree with at least 2 years of post-M.Sc research experience as evidenced from standard journal publications OR M.Tech or equivalent degree with dissertation work in Fiber Lasers. (maximum age: 32 years).
