Applications are invited from the eligible candidates, for the Post of “Assistant Project Manager" to work in RSK Project. The said Post is purely on temporary and contractual basis, for a period of one year. The period may be extended further on need basis.

SECTOR: EDUCATION

Online Rural Education Initiative (OREI) is a programme with a mission to provide world class education to all rural children, for free. In this novel programme, PhD students of IIT Kanpur volunteer to teach from the smart class and rural children join from their classrooms. OREI, with Shiksha Sopan, has developed 100+ hands on experiments that will make learning fun, the classes are held for students of Classes 9 – 12 for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Nearly a dozen schools are joining OREI, from different districts of Uttar Pradesh. By end of the year, we plan to expand to 100+ schools and thus reaching out to more than 15000 school children.

Salary: Rs. 16000-1300-38000 PM Consolidated (will commensurate with the experience and qualification)

Minimum qualification, Desirable experience and other terms for the above post are as follows:

Minimum Qualification:

Post graduate degree

Or

Graduate degree + 3 years of relevant experience

Desirable:

• Experience of working with Government schools and education system
• Education – MSc/MBA/ Masters in Social Work/ Masters in Development/ Masters in Education
• Work Experience: minimum of 1 year
• Core Competencies –
  • Mathematics/Science Teacher
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in challenging environment

SECTOR: PLANNING, STRATEGY AND HUMAN RESOURCE

Ranjit Singh Rozi Shiksha Kendra (RSK) is a social outreach project of IIT Kanpur with the mission of taking high quality education to all rural schools, provide employable skills to rural youth, and develop micro enterprises, women empowerment and livelihood support. RSK has a strong community engagement and runs multiple development programmes and partners with different funding agencies.

RSK is in growth phase and is in search of dynamic people who can operationalize the projects.
