Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of Project Associate under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Name of Post: Project Associate

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech (CC/EE/EC)

Desirable Qualification:

1. In-depth understanding of pattern recognition methods, and rule-based classifiers
2. Fundamental understanding of mathematical techniques involved in ML and DL schemas (Instance-based methods, Boosting methods, PGM, Neural Networks etc.)
3. Thorough understanding of state-of-the-art DL concepts (Sequence modeling, Attention, Convolution etc.) along with knack to imagine new schemas that work for the given data.
4. Experience in feature extraction, object recognition and tracking, image registration, noise reduction, image calibration, and correction
5. Ability to understand, optimize and debug imaging algorithms.
6. Understating and experience in openCV library.
7. Experience with technologies/libraries such as python pandas, numpy, scipy.
8. Experience with tensorflow and scikit.

About the product:
We developed the world's first offline copy-proof tags which can be read even by 4MP mobile phone camera without internet connectivity.

To increase the value proposition, features like user data analytics, loyalty programs, and AR are added in the core product.

Salary and Accommodation: Rs.18000-1500-45000 (based on past experience and achievements). The selected candidate will be eligible to apply for accommodation within IITK campus (RA Hostel- “As per Institute norms”).

Duration of appointment: 1 Year Contract or till end of Project whichever is earlier
