Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of Project scientist/ Project Engineer under the project entitled “Centre for Excellence of Large Area of Flexible Electronics” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur funded by DeitY (MCIT) New Delhi.
Minimum Qualification For Project Scientist: PhD or (M.Sc in Science + 3 Yrs of Exp)
For Project Engineer: M.Tech or (B.Tech+ 3 Yrs of Exp.)
Desirable Qualification: At least a masters’ degree in engineering in the areas of electrical/electronics, mechanical, materials, chemical or nanotechnology along with four years’ experience, if applying for project engineer position. At least a masters’ degree in the areas of physics, chemistry or nanoscience with four years’ experience, if applying for project scientist position.
Essential Experience: Candidate should have hands-on working experience with organic solar cell device and module fabrication for at least two years. He/she should be comfortable and conversant in using glove boxes, vacuum equipment and device processing equipment for device fabrication. He/she should have knowledge and experience of optoelectronic characterisation of solar cells to obtain current-voltage characteristics, and spectral response behaviour of the device.
Desirable Experience:, The knowledge and ability to use slot-die coating and/or other printing/coating equipment for printable electronics will be strongly desirable.
Salary: Rs. 26400-2200-66000 /- per month based on qualification and competence.
Duration of appointment: Maximum three years or till the end of project, whichever is earlier.
