Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Engineer under the project entitled “Flexible Multipoint Temperature Sensing Systems Algorithms Validations and Trials” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur funded by MeitY, GoI.

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech. + 3 years’ experience or MTech in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering.

Job Description: PCB designer/Hardware developer

  • This position requires experience in board bring-up/testing with digital and sensitive analog signal and RF.
  • Shall have experience in schematic capture, library generation, routing rules creation, signal integrity optimization.
  • Review existing PCB designs and suggest improvements by achieving miniaturization in board space and ability to design pcbs for wearable electronics having scope for printed and flexible electronics.
  • Expertise in using ECAD tools such as Altium/ Eagle (any one is ok).
  • Knowledge of MCAD tools such as Fusion 360, Nx, SOLIDWORKS, shapr3D (any one is ok).
  • Should be able to understand and read schematics independently.
  • Should work with PCB manufacturers and PCB assembly houses to understand manufacturing rules.
  • Ability to handle equipment like stencil printer, pick & place machine, reflow oven and rework station etc. for developing working prototypes.
  • Actively support the team with debugging, hardware/software debugging, functional verification, validation for product development.

Note:

IPC CID/ CID + certification is a big plus. Prior experience with Altium Designer will be preferable.
Hardware design experience, additional expertise in designing mechanical enclosures and in using 3D printers will be a big plus.

Salary: Rs. Rs. 26400 - 2200 - 66000/- per month based on qualification

Duration of appointment: One year till end of the project
